Georgia Lawrence in Little Miss Nevada and Adelaide Fitz-Allan in Sweethearts, at the Savoy Theatre, Lowell, Massachusetts, March 1897
‘Tonight begins the one week’s engagement of Miss Georgia Lawrence at The Savoy Theatre in Little Miss Nevada, in which play she introduces songs galore with a snap and go that is absolutely captivating. Mr. Weston will make his re-appearance as Tod in the same play giving his clever imitations of well-known actors. Miss Adelaide Fitz-Allen whose Yulla in The Hunchback last week stamped her one of the greatest of modern actresses. The older more thoughtful theatre goers stamp her as second to none, will play Gilbert’s Sweethearts with an excellent cast. Both pieces will be well stage and the most interesting week of the season is at hand. The prize contest for the longest list of names made from the letters of Savoy Theatre upon purchasing a 50c. seat will be an attracting during the week as the prizes are in gold amounting to $10, $5, $2.50 respectively.’
